Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients by using established assessments and observational methodologies.
  • Create customized treatment plans that effectively address immediate needs as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care strategies.
  • Engage with patients and their families through education to facilitate progress outside the clinical environment.
  • Assist with infrequent inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements through ongoing education and peer cooperation.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
