Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Sarah A. Reed Children's Center is looking for energetic and creative staff who wants to advance their career in the mental health field and make a positive difference in the lives of children and teens!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement therapeutic recreation activities for clients
• Assess client's individual needs for therapeutic recreation intervention/therapy
• Provide leisure enhancement and community awareness services and activities
• Maintain gym equipment and program supply inventory
• Assist in transporting clients and providing unit support as needed in emergency situations

SCHEDULE

• Full-time position with flexible daytime into late afternoon hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.

REQUIREMENTS

• 21 years of age or older
• Must apply for and obtain FBI Fingerprint, Child Abuse and PA Criminal History clearances
• Verify education level
