A highly motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Escondido, CA. This contract position is available for the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to work with diverse students across grade levels. The role focuses on providing direct therapy services, collaborating with educators, and supporting individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy or speech-language pathology services to K-12 students
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy goals aligned with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions, prepare reports, and maintain confidential records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success strategies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) credential with school endorsement
- Experience working in a K-12 educational environment is preferred
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and related documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
