Massage Therapist - Contingent - Macomb Township

• Schedule: Contingent (not scheduled to work a specified number of hours per pay) Facility is open Monday-Friday 8:00am-7:30pm

GENERAL SUMMARY

• Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities.
• Interview patient to determine medical history, condition, desired results and appropriate modality.
• Apply selected modality, concentrating on areas of particular discomfort.
• Monitor patient's responses to treatment and adjust, change or terminate treatment based on feedback.
• Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedbacks and results.
• Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, and organized state. Order supplies as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• New and experienced massage therapists welcome to apply.
• Able to provide high quality massage therapy services tailored to the needs of the individual client. -
• Skilled in Swedish, deep tissue and therapeutic modalities.
• Has knowledge of and can perform reflexology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Maintain accurate chart records and treatment notes.
• Ensure to uphold company standards of service, professionalism, ethics and client confidentiality - Uphold infection control and safety standards.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association -
• Massage Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Massage Therapy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
