Position Type: Stipend Dist - Internal Only/Team Leaders, Directors Date Posted: 7/21/2025 Location: District Wide Date Available: 25/26 SY Closing Date: Until Filled District: Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District #47 The extra duty assignment of Team Leader for Speech Pathologist was created to ensure that the District is compliant in all areas related to Speech and Language and that District 47 Speech Pathologists are current with best practices in their specialty area, up to date with current regulations and procedures, and continue to grow and develop professionally. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure that D47 is adhering to all new policies and procedures as outlined by the state and related association recommendations Keep abreast of new expectations and practices that impact school based speech and language services and communicate this information to fellow Speech Pathologists Research, plan, and coordinate professional development for Speech Pathologists in collaboration with Special Ed Administration Assist with content for the District 47/SLP websites in regards to speech and language services Provide required updates for the Special Education Handbook in regards to speech and language services Assist with the development of procedures and associated paperwork required throughout the year Create agendas and facilitate speech department meetings Develop/update speech resource library Facilitate a discussion on necessary ordering for the Speech Pathologists (yearly) across the district Ensure all new SLPs have a mentor, CFY supervisor (as needed) and access to all speech resources SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Current District 47 Speech Pathologist Ability to communicate with peers and support ongoing growth and development of the D47 Speech Pathologists PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to communicate effectively Desire to enhance professional knowledge of school based speech therapy practices and share knowledge with colleagues Exhibit outstanding levels of flexibility, creativity, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, articulation, confidentiality, organization and cooperativeness Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment and materials
