We are seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving residents mobility, strength, and overall function. The PTA plays a vital role in promoting residents' recovery and independence through compassionate care and evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents in performing exercises and activities designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
- Monitor residents progress during therapy sessions and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate residents and their families on exercises and techniques to continue therapy goals outside of sessions.
- Document therapy sessions, residents progress, and outcomes accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a cohesive approach to resident care.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Colorado.
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a team-focused approach.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
