52–55-week Residency Position

The Physical Therapy Resident provides skilled physical therapy services consistent with licensure as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. The Physical Therapy Resident will provide clinical services for assigned area(s), optimizing the quality of patient care under the supervision of a preceptor/mentor. The resident will be a self-directed, independent, motivated learner as guided by the Residency program director (RPD). Examples of major learning and developmental activities include: clinical mentorship through direct patient care, provide education for patients, caregivers, peers, and entry-level DPT students, participate in clinical research, and develop and implement a health equity project, along with successful completion of all didactic course work. The resident acts in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate from an accredited PT program.
  • Experience: Preferred candidate will have had clinical rotations or experience in an inpatient and outpatient setting including patient diagnoses in residency concentration (i.e. neuro, ortho, etc.), preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state PT license, required.
