Position Summary: Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking a licensed and experienced Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment. The therapist will work collaboratively with the care team to support patients in regaining functional independence through personalized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs through detailed assessments
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs focused on restoring functional ability and improving quality of life
• Utilize therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and specialized equipment
• Educate patients and families about strategies to enhance daily function and safety in the home environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and provide progress updates
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Actively participate in discharge planning and transition of care
• Maintain clean, safe, and therapeutic environment

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Kansas OT license or eligibility for compact licensure
• Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience, ideally in a hospital or inpatient rehab setting
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
