Position Summary: San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a travel contract. This role focuses on providing rehabilitative services that help patients regain independence and functionality in daily life following injury, surgery, or illness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Implement therapeutic activities aimed at improving mobility, cognitive function, and adaptive skills
• Educate patients and families on techniques for home care and continued recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists to ensure cohesive patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
• Ensure compliance with rehabilitation standards and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of New Mexico (or compact license where applicable)
• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings
• Current CPR certification
• Strong assessment, planning, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing a dynamic caseload
