Start Date: Tentative August start, exact dates to be confirmed A K-12 educational setting in Waterbury, CT is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide full-time leave coverage for a contract period of roughly 12 to 16 weeks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute specialized OT services supporting student needs across a diverse range of grades. Key Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students with individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans Assess student abilities and progress, document findings, and adjust therapy techniques accordingly Provide consultation to school personnel to facilitate functional improvements in the classroom and school environment Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy services Desired Qualifications: Current Occupational Therapy license eligible in Connecticut Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting Strong knowledge of pediatric OT techniques and IEP processes Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and educators Reliable, organized, and capable of working independently during contract period This role offers a defined contract window, ideal for therapists seeking focused, impactful work in an educational environment.
