Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Los Osos & Cayucos, CA (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Job Overview: We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or a qualified SLPA to provide maternity leave coverage for the 2025 school year. This is a part-time, in-person position supporting elementary-aged students at Baywood Elementary in Los Osos and potentially Cayucos Elementary in Cayucos . The assignment begins in October and continues through December , with the possibility of working 3 to 5 days per week depending on final caseload needs. Position Details: Location(s): Baywood Elementary School (Los Osos, CA) - 3 days/week, 7 hours/day Cayucos Elementary School (Cayucos, CA) - Potentially 2 additional days/week, 7 hours/day Student Population: Elementary (TK-6th Grade) Type: Maternity Leave Coverage Duration: October through December 2025 Schedule: 3-5 days/week (21-35 hours/week total) On-site position Responsibilities: Conduct assessments and provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students. Develop and implement IEPs and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines. Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support student communication goals. Provide therapy in both push-in and pull-out settings. Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and school staff. Qualifications: Required for SLP: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current California SLP license and ASHA CCCs Public school and elementary experience preferred Required for SLPA (if considered): Current California SLPA license Prior experience in school-based settings preferred Must work under supervision of a credentialed SLP Preferred Skills: Experience supporting students with speech-language needs in general education settings Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to work independently across multiple school sites
