Respiratory Therapist II, Edgefield County Hospital, Resource Pool, various shifts, various days

Performs Respiratory Therapy procedures including assessment, planning and implementation of therapy on the routine patient care floors and critical care areas. Performs emergent endotracheal intubations. Provides patient/family education related to respiratory therapy and airway management procedures. Serves as a resource for new technologies that have been implemented. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of RT or designee. II - Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program. Licensed by the State of SC as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist with 3 years' experience and competency in all areas of adult care. BLS certified. ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire. III- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program. Licensed by the State of SC as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registered by the NBRC. Ability to function in 2 or more areas of specialized RT care or possess nationally recognized certification in critical care, neonatal/pediatric specialty, pulmonary functions, or asthma education. BLS certified. ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire. NRP required for therapists cross trained in the NICU.
