Description

  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations using a variety of assessment tools and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment plans targeting immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions focusing on facets of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to craft integrated care approaches.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and families that promote progress outside of therapy settings.
  • Participate in inpatient evaluations and intervention strategies when required, ensuring a seamless care journey for patients.
  • Accurately document patient progress in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Remain abreast of new modalities and updates in the field through continued learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • A state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
