Description

  • Deliver targeted speech therapy individually, focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to ensure holistic approaches to patient care.
  • Facilitate education for patients and their loved ones to enhance therapeutic progress outside clinical visits.
  • Participate in select inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatment options to ensure seamless care throughout the patients recovery journey.
  • Keep precise and prompt records in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional reflection to remain at the forefront of speech-language advancements.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification from ASHA is still pending.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
