Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to meet both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions addressing various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to create integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress and understanding outside the therapy room.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout treatment.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain engaged with the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment.
