Description

• Assess patients of all ages through standardized measures and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives and long-term goals regarding communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication skills, fluency, voice clarity, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families, enhancing progress outside of clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and engagement with colleagues.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
