Physical Therapist

The PT will work in an acute care setting with patients who are recovering from an illness, surgery, accident or other trauma. Furthermore, the PT will focus on working with patients requiring extra physical help recovering, including post-op patients or have other mobility issues involving IVs or other medical restrictions. The PT consults with the patient to learn about their current condition and then works to develop a treatment plan. The PT's goal is to alleviate or relieve pain while improving mobility for the patient. The PT also focuses on creating patient-specific fitness programs once determining the root cause of the trauma and counsels the patient on exactly what it will take to fix or make the injury more manageable.
