Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Occupational Therapist - K-12 School Setting (Full-Time, Full School Year) A K-12 school district in Hanford, CA, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support approximately 28 students across four school sites. This full-time, contract position spans the entire school year and requires delivering specialized OT services tailored to a diverse student population, with a focus on supporting 20 students at one elementary school site. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students to enhance their functional abilities and support educational participation Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student strengths and areas for intervention Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional expertise to goal-setting and progress monitoring Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services and student progress Adapt interventions to accommodate a variety of school environments and student needs across four campuses Qualifications/Experience: Valid Occupational Therapist license with eligibility to practice in California Experience working in a school setting serving K-12 populations Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and education-related functional skills Ability to manage an active caseload and multiple school site service delivery Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and school personnel Familiarity with special education laws and IEP process Location: Hanford, California This opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on student success by promoting independence and participation through occupational therapy intervention.
