PURPOSE
Works in collaboration with Audiologist to provide clinical and administrative support to audiology patients. Performs support for the Audiology department for hearing aid processing. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization supported.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform scheduled Continued Care Package (CCP) visits for patients needing hearing aid cleaning and battery pick-up
Assist patients with basic hearing aid questions and functionality
Assist audiologist as needed with difficult hearing tests
Sanitize audiology probes and other equipment
Restock supplies as needed
Assist in benefit verification, authorization, ordering, tracking and charging of hearing aids
Assist with hearing aid warranties and returns
Initiate and respond to patient communications via phone or Epic
Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
Regular and dependable attendance.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Front Desk duties as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: One (1) or more years of experience working in an Audiology and/or ENT practice.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding
Experience working with insurances obtaining benefits and authorizations
Familiarity with document imaging and workflow systems a plus.
Ability to perform job functions, troubleshoot problems and make decisions without direct supervision.
Must be flexible in daily assignments and able to cross-cover within an assigned work group.
Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instruction and must be able to communicate with co-workers to perform duties as part of a work group.
Must display a high level of accuracy, critical thinking and organization.
Must be able to carry 20 pounds and lift 5 pounds overhead.
Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to handle competing priorities.
Ability to engage others, listen and adapt response to meet others' needs.
Ability to align own actions with those of other team members committed to common goals.
