Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and highly motivated full-time audiologist to join our growing team. This role involves providing comprehensive audiological care, including diagnostic assessments, vestibular and balance testing, hearing aid services, and tinnitus management. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a wide range of audiological evaluations, including:
Pure-tone and speech audiometry
Immittance testing (tympanometry and acoustic reflexes)
Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs)
Comprehensive vestibular assessments such as:
Videonystagmography (VNG)
Rotary chair testing
Vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP)
Video head impulse testing (vHIT)
Computerized dynamic posturography
TRV positional assessments and treatment
Perform hearing aid evaluations, fittings, programming, and follow-up care for a diverse patient population.
Provide tinnitus assessments and management strategies, including counseling and sound therapy.
Interpret diagnostic results and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to patients.
Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Participate in or provide vestibular rehabilitation therapy, when applicable.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic medical records.
Stay current with best practices and advances in audiology through ongoing professional development.
Educate patients and families about hearing loss, balance disorders, treatment options, and hearing health.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree.
- California state licensure in Audiology (or eligibility).
- Strong interest in vestibular audiology and balance disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
- Previous vestibular or balance testing experience is a plus but not required (we provide training)
