Description

  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized assessments and clinical observations.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies aimed at achieving both short-term milestones and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions in areas including communication, language, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams comprising physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families.
  • Educate patients and their families to promote understanding and progress beyond the therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy to ensure a seamless treatment experience.
  • Uphold meticulous documentation practices adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of the latest practices in the field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification essential within 30 days of starting.
