Job Overview

The Life Enrichment Director leads all planning and implementing of a quality leisure, therapuetic, and social events program crafted to assist senior age Assisted Living/Memory Care residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically and mentally. This activity programming leadership position will be responsible for all aspects of the activities department and team at Arbors at Ridges in Burnsville, MN.

This full-time Life Enrichment Director role includes:

  • 80 hours per two week pay period
  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed

Arbors at Ridges Assisted Living is located on the Ebenezer Ridges Burnsville Campus near Fairview Ridges Hospital. Arbors at Ridges offers 62 breathtaking apartments. We have a well-established community with warm residents, and a dedicated and seasoned staff! We are committed to well-rounded healthcare and successfully communicate with residents to promote high quality of life.

  • Develops program and activities reflective of resident interests.
  • Attends and participates in MDS/RAI/IDT and resident Care Conferences.
  • Audits Therapeutic Recreation/Life Enrichment Department documentation regularly.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews policies and procedures for the department.
  • Actively participates with facility management team on strategic direction of facility.
  • Schedule the programs on the activity calendar.
  • Participate in gathering and transporting residents to the programs.

Required

  • Associate's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related.
  • 2 years experience in Assisted Living or SNF programming
  • Drivers License in good standing
  • Medical Exam Certification
  • Must be at least 21-years old
  • Able to drive a 14 passenger van.
  • Current Driver's License (in good standing)

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy
  • Three+ years of previous experience
