QUALIFICATIONS: Occupational Therapist Assistant Licensure

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT AND HOURS OF DUTY:

JOB SUMMARY: To provide occupational therapy services to Special Ed students who require occupational therapy and who are eligible

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides direct occupational therapy to special education students who are eligible and who are in need.
2. Attend relevant MDT and IEP meetings as a qualified evaluator to explain evaluation results and recommendations, and to contribute appropriate goals for student IEPs.
3. To act as a resource for educators to help address modifications and strategies in the classroom for fine and visual motor skills.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk without fatigue and discomfort. Must be able to assist in student transfer from chair to chair, chair to floor, etc.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS : Must be able to work in and out of doors as necessary to complete the job as expected.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be determined in accordance with provisions of the evaluation policy and procedures of the board of education.
