Leadership and Team Management:
- Serves as an integral member of the Rehabilitation Services leadership group
- Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled physical therapy team.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all staff
- Manages recruitment, team member engagement and retention activities
- Address and resolve staff concerns and conflicts effectively.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure efficient daily operations
- Manage resource allocation, including staffing and supplies.
- Manages department budget and ensures any expenditures are within budget
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and patient progression.
- Implement and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of PT equipment and rehab spaces.
Clinical Excellence
- Uphold high standards of physical therapy practice and patient care.
- Monitor compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Support ongoing education and training for the physical therapy staff
- Develop and implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
- Maintains all records pertaining to the staff competency, quality audit, and other related records of assigned staff.
Quality Improvement
- Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality.
- Analyze performance data to identify and implement improvement strategies.
- Participate in the development and enforcement of policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure quality and compliance.
- Collaborates with quality improvement teams to address any areas of concern
- Ensures compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements specific to the department supervised
- Fosters a work environment which promotes inter-professional collaboration, effective communication, team member engagement and retention, and professional growth and development. Effectively manages human resources.
- Fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and maximized to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
- Accurately forecasts and manages budget for the department and ensures that any expenditures are within the budget.
- Assures development of and participates in programs which address continuous quality clinical care, process improvement and customer service. Accountable for achieving clinical outcomes as defined by national practice standards and the organization's strategic plan.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology required. Masters Degree or higher in one of the three disciplines preferred.
Experience: 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Licensure: Relevant licensure in PT/OT/SLP.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
