ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:Rotating forty (40) hour work week, 24-hour shifts, seven (7) days a week. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities
Utility Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the water distribution system and wastewater collection systems.
- Work with a crew to perform wastewater system maintenance and cleaning.
- Install meters at residential service connections.
- Install, program, and maintain AMR components.
- Perform water service turn-off and turn-on duties for residential, commercial and industrial customers.
- Investigate and mitigate issues reported on the water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
- Provide customer service while performing responsibilities.
- May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires High School Diploma or GED
- No experience required
- TCEQ Class D Water or Class I Wastewater Collection license must be obtained within one (1) year of hire
- A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire
