Description

• Thoroughly assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations employing standardized tests and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work in concert with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to facilitate comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide patient and family education to ensure progress continues beyond clinical visits.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, promoting seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Maintain prompt and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through continued education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies applicable to all age groups, with a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
