Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of pediatric NICU experience to work night shifts in a hospital setting, with RRT, PALS, and NRP certifications required.

• Work in a hospital NICU as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in pediatric and neonatal care
• Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, typically 3 per week (19:0007:30)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Candidates will float within the hospital as required and must be comfortable doing so within their scope of experience
• No on-call responsibility
• EMR system is Kronos
• First-time travelers with a strong skillset and NICU experience will be considered
• Must be comfortable floating within the hospital in accordance with experience
• Return travelers must have a 6-month break from the system before being eligible to return
• Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
• One contract extension is typically allowed before a 6-month break is required
• Modules and orientation will be provided as part of onboarding
• Travelers are required to complete labs within 72 hours of signing the contract
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled by the unit
• Block schedules or specific scheduling requests cannot be guaranteed
• RTO requests must be included at the time of initial submission and cannot be changed afterward

• Active MD or Compact state license required at time of consideration if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric and neonatal respiratory therapy, specifically in the NICU
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), PALS, and NRP certifications required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version) may be required for most units
• Two satisfactory professional references needed, with at least one from a supervisor/manager and one from a charge RN
• Locals under 50 miles from the facility are not eligible
