General Expectations

  • Regular, reliable, and predictable on-site attendance
  • Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards respecting patient care.
  • Develop and maintain technical/working knowledge of current PAP products and services offered by ProTech, and all applicable governmental regulations.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Process PAP paperwork daily according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Educate patients in proper use and care of PAP equipment, including fitting masks.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on PAP equipment and enter into Brightree according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Assist in resolving patient equipment problems.

  • Process all CPAP/BiPAP equipment returns according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Educate patients on PAP supplies and replacements guidelines.

  • Document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products, and services.

  • Maintain PAP inventory for the designated branch and conduct monthly inventory counts according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Collect co-insurance payments due and arrange patient payment plans according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Schedule patients for PAP setups, new PAP supply, mask fittings/exchanges, etc. according to ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Assist walk-in patients with troubleshooting equipment, downloads, mask issues, pressure changes, general questions, etc.

  • Assume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours on a rotating basis including:

  • Handle calls regarding service and repair.

  • Troubleshoots problems and initiates corrective action.

  • Delivers and trains patient/caregiver on usage of equipment.

  • Develop and maintain technical/working knowledge of current PAP/other products and services

  • Delivers equipment as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable governmental regulations including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines.

  • Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with ProTech policies and procedures.

  • Location coverage including, but not limited to, manage phone systems, assisting patients with order questions or needs, and assisting with intake process.

  • Responsible to generate, review, and submit inventory reports for efficient overall company operation.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications include:

  • Experience in office, preferably DME or Home Health Industry
  • Exceptional client focus and a natural ability to build relationships

  • Must be able to pass required background checks and drug screenings.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of clean driving record.
  • Must carry personal liability insurance with a minimum limit of 100,000.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this position, employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time and must talk and hear. Occasional stooping, bending, twisting and crouching may be required. The employee sits, walks, kneels and reaches with hands and arms. May be required to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to drive an automobile.

Must be 21 years of age to comply with company auto insurance regulations.
