Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication skills, language comprehension, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to create integrated care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and their families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Accurately document treatment plans and patient progress in compliance with all relevant guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and peer networking to remain updated with advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within one month of hire.
