Description

  • Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized measures and observational insights.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing milestones.
  • Engage in one-on-one interventions addressing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing across various age groups.
  • Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and loved ones to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and their families, enhancing recovery outside of therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and institutional rules.
  • Continuously update your knowledge and skills through ongoing education and colleague engagement.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hiring.
