The department manages 39 facilities , including recreation centers, senior centers, and indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, and provides thousands of programs such as out-of-school activities, aquatics, classes, youth and adult sports programs and leagues, senior programs, and therapeutic recreation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Montgomery County Recreation is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, entry-level Program Assistant II !

As a Program Assistant II , you will :

• Provide exceptional customer service by looking up and sharing accurate information.

• Assists with supervision of participants in school-based or recreation center -based program s or activities.

• Set up and break down equipment .

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.

• Monitor activities and ensure a clean, safe , and supportive environment.

As a Program Assistant II , you may:

• Plan and l ead recreation activities.

• Keep the official score or officiate a youth sport s activity.

• Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting during programs or activities.

• Assist with cleaning and organizing of facility or program .

• Learn something new EVERY DAY!

• To be a successful Program Assistant II , you MUST:

• Be able to follow and give directions.

• Experience: Some work experience leading or instructing a recreation or related activity.

• Education: Ability to read and write in English.

• Equivalency: None.
