Description

  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients employing standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language development, fluency enhancement, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage in collaborative care with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure comprehensive care approaches.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond the clinical environment.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapies, assuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Remain up-to-date with advancements in the speech therapy field via continuing education and peer networking.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
