Travel Occupational Therapist - Pediatrics

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of pediatric experience, specifically in feeding and eating difficulties, for a pediatric OT position.
Responsibilities- Work in a pediatric outpatient OT setting
- Primary caseload involves pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties
- Patient age ranges typically from 18 months and older, with preference for experience with 8 months and older
- Diagnoses include Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, ARFID, Dysphagia, Autism, Developmental Delay, and sensory processing difficulties
- Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8:00a-6:30p), Wednesday off
- Potential to float within hospital and satellite NICU locations
- No on-call requirements; may be called off based on patient volume
- Assignment length is 20 weeks
- Provide OT assessment and intervention with a focus on feeding/eating difficulties and general developmental therapy for pediatric patients
- May provide coverage for general pediatric developmental OT as needed
- Must be able to independently manage a full caseload
- Work with a multidisciplinary team in a pediatric environment
- All requested time off must be provided up front with a maximum of 6 days allowed
- Requires working 2 out of 3 holidays during assignment
- Modules for onboarding must be completed pre-start
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted for this travel position
- Mileage reimbursement provided for floating to other locations for NICU patients
- Perm staff must wait one year before being eligible to travel
- Current CA OT license or eligibility to obtain if licensed in another state (License required if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant pediatric OT experience
- Strong experience in independent assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding disorders
- Experience working with swallowing disorders preferred
- Experience with general pediatric developmental OT required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Master's in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program, or Bachelors if graduated prior to 2004
- Experience with caseloads involving patients 18 months and older required; 8 months and older preferred
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
