Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a NICU night shift contract assignment.

• Work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting
• 600+ bed hospital with state-of-the-art technology
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Candidates may be required to float within scope if needed
• EPIC charting system used; experience preferred
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Return staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Team members must not have worked as VCU Health employees within the previous 12 months
• Orientation includes approximately 6 hours of modules, completed during onboarding
• Holiday time off is not guaranteed
• No local candidate radius restrictions apply
• Must adhere to fingerprinting and background check procedures if assigned to ER or Psych units
• Facility enforces a natural nail policy

• Current RRT credential required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in relevant setting
• Graduation from an accredited school (ACEN or CCNE); diploma, Associate, or BSN accepted
• Active VA license or compact state license preferred; 30-day work authorization accepted if eligible (license required if applicable)
• Must provide 2 professional references
• Ability to comply with hospital's natural nail policy
• Smoke-free and drug-free workplace compliance required
