Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute care hospital setting with both inpatient and outpatient caseloads.

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting with a census of 16 beds
• Patient diagnoses include orthopedic total joint replacements, general weakness, CVA/TIA for inpatients, and shoulder, spine, hip, knee, ankle/foot pre- and post-surgical cases for outpatients
• Caseload includes 35 inpatients per day with additional outpatient visits as needed
• Work schedule is either 5x8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 4x10-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating to other units required
• Support provided by a multidisciplinary rehab team including OT, ST, and cardiac and pulmonary rehab providers
• Epic is used for charting and EMR documentation
• Duties include evaluating and treating a diverse caseload of inpatient and outpatient physical therapy patients
• Support provided by a multidisciplinary team and access to cardiac and pulmonary rehab providers
• Scrub color is Caribbean blue; khakis and polo shirts are also acceptable attire
• Block scheduling can be accommodated upon request
• Only one time-off request is allowed per contract
• Observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Free parking available on site
• Position is open to first-time travelers

• Active Physical Therapy license required; pending Wisconsin license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent PT experience in an acute care or similar setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient orthopedic and neurological patient populations preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Not open to local candidates within a 70-mile radius
• Two professional supervisor references from the past 2 years are required for consideration
