ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Inpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated rehabilitation team at the Newark campus , the largest in our network. This campus supports several specialty-certified programs, including:
- Level I Trauma Center
- Comprehensive Stroke Treatment Center
- Regional Center of Excellence in Heart and Vascular Care
- Cancer Care Services
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment programs developed by a Physical Therapist
- Continually assess patients response to treatment and modifies the treatment plan and goals in consultation with the supervising Physical Therapist
- Completes all documentation within the scope of practice
- Progresses patients as appropriate towards timely completion of goals established at evaluation
- Communicates patients goals, status and equipment needs to the clinical team
- Provides patient and family education and training
- Supervises PTA students during clinical affiliation programs
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
- Licensure in the State of Delaware as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR Certification
- APTA preferred
