Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Yarmouth, MA, currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students on a contractual basis.

Location: Yarmouth, MA

Pay Rate: Up to $60.00/hour

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 Months

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Requirements: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)

As an Occupational Therapist you will play a key role in supporting the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Youll work closely with families and a transdisciplinary team to create and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), provide therapeutic services, and empower caregivers through education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with families to assess developmental strengths and needs
  • Develop and implement IFSPs tailored to each child and family
  • Conduct home visits to deliver developmental stimulation and parent training
  • Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to plan and deliver services
  • Manage a caseload, including case management and referrals
  • Facilitate parent/child and/or child groups
  • Maintain communication with physicians, clinics, and community agencies
  • Complete documentation including assessments, progress reports, IFSPs, and discharge summaries

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement including kneeling, bending, sitting, lifting, and positioning of children
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently; 51+ pounds with assistance or adaptive equipment

The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and providing therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each student.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice
  • One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
