Responsibilities*
Evaluate and treat Adult Acute Inpatients in the Hospital Acute Care Unit. Provide patient treatment and education. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Required Qualifications*
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with Oncology population.
- If licensed before 1/1/2007; Bachelors degree in Occupational Health
- If licensed on or after 1/1/2007; Maters degree or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and Clinical Internship
- Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
- Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan. New Grads welcome to apply.
- Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.
Physical Requirement:
- This position requires extensive standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients
Work Schedule
This is a 24 hour a week position to work 3 days per week and 6 week end days in a 4 month period and will include some holidays.
