Description

  • Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized evaluations and observational insights.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions centered on communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families to endorse progress beyond clinical appointments.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay informed on evolving trends in the field via continuing education and collaborative learning.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not previously ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
