Description

  • Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, employing standardized tests and observational methods.
  • Create tailored therapy plans that meet both immediate and extended communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
  • Engage in individual speech therapy sessions focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to create integrated care approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families to promote progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure a seamless treatment continuum.
  • Document services promptly and accurately in accordance with regulatory and organizational protocols.
  • Remain at the forefront of your field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

  • Earned Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment commencement.
