Schwab Rehabilitation is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and energetic Full Time Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist to join our highly trained and respected therapy team. This unique opportunity allows the SLP to expand their skills by working as a member of a large interdisciplinary team that works in Inpatient rehab (spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke and general) and Acute care at Mount Sinai Hospital. We welcome both new graduates and experienced clinicians.

Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital is a freestanding, not-for-profit, 102-licensed bed facility located in Chicago and offers the continuum of care from acute care to inpatient rehab to outpatient therapy for adults and children. Schwab is a proud member of Sinai Chicago and the first fully licensed and accredited rehabilitation hospital in the Midwest.

The speech and language pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic and therapeutic intervention for speech, language, voice, swallowing and fluency disorders and functions as an integral member of the rehabilitation team. The SLP provides age and developmentally appropriate evaluation and treatment to the English and Spanish speaking, adult patients.

Schwab Rehabilitation offers 1 on 1 treatment/care in a unique therapeutic environment featuring 7 large treatment gyms, multiple private treatment rooms, a warm-water indoor therapeutic pool and an award-winning therapeutic rooftop garden. We have a large team consists of PT, OT, SLP and recreational therapists including several bilingual therapists and board certified specialists. Our rehabilitation team takes a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to address the physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs of each patient.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)

Bilingual- English & Spanish language proficient

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

Active State of Illinois SLP license or a Temporary SLP License issued by IDFPR

Active BLS certification
