Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A school district in Des Plaines, IL, is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide part-time, onsite support in an elementary school setting. This contract position covers a leave from August 21, 2025, through October 31, 2025, working two days per week. The position focuses on providing therapy and support to a caseload of 14-16 students ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric speech-language pathology within a school environment and a thorough understanding of developmental speech and language disorders common in early childhood education. Key Responsibilities: Administer speech and language evaluations and assessments for K-5 students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs Deliver direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language challenges Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress Document student performance, maintain case notes, and monitor treatment outcomes in compliance with district policies Preferred Qualifications: SLP Certification with CCC credential Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings Strong communication skills and ability to engage young learners Knowledge of IDEA and other relevant educational regulations and best practices Location: Elementary school in Des Plaines, Illinois This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced pediatric SLP looking to make an impact over a short-term assignment.
