Job Description
RCM Health Care is seeking an OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST to provide therapy services students IN THEIR HOME ENVIRONMENT in and around Westland, MI. This is for their Early On (Ages 0-3) Program. This district offers a lot of mentoring and support as there are over 15 other OTs on staff. This is the perfect job for the start of your school career or for someone looking to be a part of a positive team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLILITIES: Others duties may be assigned
Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility
Assess fine motor skills of students
Develop, implement, monitor and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment of student as appropriate
Complete IEP, MET, Medicaid and treatment forms/reports
Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards
Train Paraprofessionals on various student plans
Regular and predictable attendance
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registered Occupational Therapist - State of Michigan
Michigan Driver's License
Pediatric experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have good organizational skills
Must have good written and oral language ability
Good interpersonal skills with children and adults
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to move about the classroom, building, etc. as needed. This person must be able to communicate with students, parents, other teachers and administrators and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee may need to travel to different work locations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is frequently required to interact with students, staff and occasionally with the public. The employee is directly responsible for the safety and well-being of students.
