What you'll do:
Responsibilities/Duties:
Provides hand therapy services including evaluations and treatment in accordance with policy and procedures of state laws and the professional code of ethics.
Maintains accurate and legible documentation including but not limited to initial evaluations, SOAP notes and flow sheets for each patient visit, reevaluation (every 30 days or 10 visits for Medicare patients whichever comes first), and the documented discharge of the patient.
Completes documentation in a timely manner that is consistent with all laws and regulatory requirements.
Maintains complete and accurate billing practices and assists front desk in maintaining authorizations.
Updates clinical skills through continuing education programs, professional contacts, journal articles, and participation in professional organization.
Assists and participates in in-service presentations after attending continuing education courses or as requested.
Reports to the Physical Therapy Manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
Certification in Hand Therapy.
Will consider one to two years of hand therapy experience if working towards hand therapy certification (CHT).
Strong knowledge base with Upper Extremity hand to shoulder conditions.
Strong Splinting skills.
Valid NY OT License.
Strong interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
