Speech Pathologist Assistant in Pottstown, PA

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Deliver specialized speech-language services in an elementary school setting in Pennsylvania as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This contractual position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Diagnose communication impairments and produce detailed evaluation reports with targeted recommendations. Design and implement individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with IEP requirements. Provide direct therapy for articulation, language delays, stuttering, voice issues, pragmatic/social communication, and swallowing disorders. Monitor and document student progress consistently, adjusting interventions as needed. Collaborate closely with educators, parents, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other stakeholders. Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning sessions. Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and clinical trainees as applicable. Maintain compliance with all documentation standards, ethical guidelines, and licensure requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with best practices. Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Active Pennsylvania state license for Speech-Language Pathology. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred. PDE certification for public school work is advantageous. Strong clinical skills supported by excellent organization and interpersonal communication. Location: Elementary school setting, Pennsylvania.
