Job Description Summary The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant administers appropriate treatments and related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in keeping with the Alabama Physical Therapy Practice Act and the American Physical Therapy Code of Ethics. The LPTA may be involved in the treatment of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, older adults, and geriatrics. Job Description QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program and eligible for licensure in the State of Alabama; Prefer previous experience in acute care setting. LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; Ability to communicate effectively in an emergency situation. SKILLS: Basic computer skills; Basic knowledge of therapeutic modalities; Proficient in skills check off.
