Sign-On Bonus: Up to $3,000 (Night shift only; subject to change)

Position Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated Respiratory Therapy team at Baystate Medical Center. In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to support patient health and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Administer a full range of respiratory care therapies to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment and therapy plans
Obtain and analyze arterial blood gases
Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and perform EKG tracings
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapies and patient responses
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, safety protocols, infection control, and department policies
Recommend appropriate therapy modalities with consideration for safety, comfort, and clinical effectiveness
Qualifications
This position is part of a clinical career ladder with opportunities for advancement based on experience and leadership.
Required:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
Current Massachusetts licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
ACLS certification (AHA)
One or more years of clinical experience
Preceptor or leadership experience in a critical care setting (for higher levels within the ladder)
