Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans focusing on both immediate objectives and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions aimed at improving language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to empower them in facilitating progress outside of scheduled sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapies, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through continuous education and teamwork.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
