Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients that span pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics by employing standardized assessments along with observational methods.

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that concentrate on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments, ensuring uninterrupted care throughout the patients progression.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field by pursuing ongoing education and engaging with peers.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting.
