Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans catered to individual needs, addressing both immediate and ongoing communication or swallowing issues.
• Administer one-on-one speech therapy sessions that target communication, language development, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
• Work collaboratively alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to develop holistic care strategies.
• Empower patients and their families with the knowledge to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions on occasion, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaborations.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
